About This Position
We are recruiting an Admin Assistant to provide efficient day-to-day administrative and clerical support within the Children's Contact Centre. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-focused, and confident handling sensitive information while delivering professional customer service.
You will maintain accurate records and systems, support meetings and financial administration, and work closely with internal teams, service users, families, and external organisations to ensure services run smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing efficient day-to-day administrative and clerical support to the Children's Contact Centre
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records, filing systems, and databases
- Preparing letters, emails, reports, meeting agendas, and other documents
- Managing incoming telephone calls, emails, and general enquiries professionally and promptly
- Arranging meetings, appointments, and room bookings, and preparing relevant documentation
- Taking and distributing meeting minutes when required
- Updating spreadsheets, databases, and other information management systems
- Supporting the processing of invoices, purchase orders, and other financial administration
- Liaising with internal teams, service users, families, and external organisations as required
- Supporting managers with routine administrative tasks
- Assisting with compliance, audits, and inspections by maintaining accurate documentation
- Providing reception and customer service support when required
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information in line with data protection requirements
- Monitoring office supplies and arranging replenishment where necessary
- Contributing to improvements in administrative processes and procedures
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Ability and willingness to work across London Borough of Bromley venues when required
- Availability to work the specified 18-hour weekly schedule
- A current CV must be provided at submission
Desirable
- Experience working in a care, health, or support services environment
- Knowledge of compliance and record-keeping requirements
- Experience using electronic management or information systems

- Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour (PAYE)
- Hours: 18 hours per week
- Working Pattern: Wednesday 2:00pm–6:00pm; Thursday and Friday 10:00am–6:00pm
- Contract: 12 weeks (Temporary)
