Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects as well as Solar PV. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your electrical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong background in electrical work and experience with hand tools and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with safety standards and regulations
- Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently to minimise downtime
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete installation and maintenance tasks accurately
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards or faults within electrical systems
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety legislation.
- Have a good understanding of Solar PV and storage systems.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role within the electrical trade
- Demonstrable knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety procedures
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools including drills and saws
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical installations is desirable
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance are preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Gold card required and would also prefer if you have the Solar & Storage qualifications.
