Job title: Support Worker- Waking nights
Location: Eden Place, Ackworth, West Yorkshire
£12.35 per hour (8pm-7am)
Sleeps shifts available- £70 per night.
Full Time- 33 hours per week (3 nights per week minimum)
Shift pattern: Waking nights and alternative weekends.
2 week rolling rota which includes alternate weekends.
An enhanced DBS check is a requirement for the role.
Job Description-
- All our individuals are adults with a learning disability and mental health needs.
- Supporting our individuals with all aspects of daily living and enriching their lives.
- Helping our individuals to access the community, take part in activities, go on days trips, bowling, cinema etc.
- Support them with their shopping.
- Support with personal care and some continence care.
- Supporting our individuals with appointments.
- Meal preparation and encouragement with healthy balanced diet.
- Administering medication and completing the relevant documentation accurately.
- Promoting a comfortable, safe and warm environment where our individuals can thrive.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
It is the nature of the service we provide that tasks and responsibilities are in many circumstances variable and unpredictable. All staff are therefore expected to work flexibly when the need arises, so that tasks that may not be covered in this job description are undertaken. Also, individuals supported may display challenging behaviours, in which case training will be provided to minimise these behaviours.
