We are seeking a proactive and positive Head of Premises to oversee the large school estate at George Abbot. You will work in close partnership with the Headteacher and Finance team and manage a team of 3 full-time site staff. You will be key in ensuring that George Abbot remains a well maintained, pleasant and fit for purpose school environment. You will lead the operational development and deployment of the site team, ensuring statutory compliance and the safe operation of the school's buildings, grounds, and equipment. You will be responsible for Health and Safety across the site, ensuring the best possible environment for students to learn and thrive.
You will have sound knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and of working across a large, busy site. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing the annual and long-term estates maintenance plan, as well as managing contractors. You will oversee high-value capital projects and ensure that outsourced premises contracts are effectively managed and monitored.
As a minimum, you should hold an IOSH Managing Safely qualification, however further training will be provided if required.
You will be part of a wider Premises network across Learning Partners Academy Trust, attending termly meetings and annual training days. Support will be provided by the Trust Capital Project Lead in relation to major capital projects.
