SALES MANAGER
Dunsfold Aerodrome | Everyman Driving Experiences
£35,000 - £45,000 PLUS bonuses (OTE £55,000-£75,000)
We’re looking for a leader, not a manager.
Everyman Driving Experiences is looking for a dynamic, driven and commercially-minded Sales Manager to lead our sales operation from our base at Dunsfold Aerodrome.
This isn't a role for someone who simply manages rotas, checks reports and sits behind a desk.
We want someone who gets sales, loves selling, knows how to motivate people and wants to build a genuinely high-performing sales operation.
You’ll take ownership of our call centre sales team, while also looking across the wider sales operation — including online sales, customer journeys and sales at events — and identifying how we can do things better.
THE ROLE
You'll lead and develop our sales team, driving performance across every channel.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading, motivating and inspiring the sales team.
- Driving inbound and outbound telephone sales performance.
- Setting clear targets and creating a culture of accountability.
- Coaching people to become better salespeople — not simply telling them what to do.
- Listening to calls, identifying opportunities and delivering effective sales training.
- Developing sales techniques, objection handling and closing strategies.
- Understanding our telephone systems and ensuring we're getting the most from them.
- Using sales data and KPIs to identify where we're winning, where we're losing and what needs to change.
- Creating a structured training and development strategy for the sales team.
- Looking at our online sales performance and identifying opportunities to improve conversion.
- Assessing sales activity at events and developing strategies to maximise revenue.
- Working with the wider business to improve the customer journey and increase sales.
- Bringing ideas, energy and commercial thinking to everything we do.
WEEKEND AVAILABILITY
You must be available to work two Saturdays per month.
Our business operates around events and customer demand, so weekend availability is an important part of the role.
Saturday working will be paid in addition to your salary or, by agreement, you can take a day in lieu during the week.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're looking for someone who has lived and breathed sales.
You must have genuine experience working in a sales-focused call centre environment and understand what it takes to manage a high-volume sales operation.
You'll need to understand:
Inbound sales.
Outbound sales.
Telephone systems.
Lead conversion.
Objection handling.
Closing.
Targets.
KPIs.
Coaching.
Motivation.
But experience alone isn't enough.
We want a leader.
Someone who walks into a room and raises the energy.
Someone people want to follow.
Someone who can stand in front of a sales team, grab their attention, challenge them, inspire them and make them want to go out and win.
You should be motivational, dynamic, commercially sharp and interesting to talk to.
You should have strong opinions.
You should challenge the way things are done.
And, most importantly, you should be prepared to get involved yourself.
If the team is struggling to close, you should be prepared to pick up the phone and show them how it's done.
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF...
- You're competitive and love hitting targets.
- You get excited by sales numbers going up.
- You know how to motivate different personalities.
- You enjoy coaching and developing people.
- You're confident challenging underperformance.
- You're naturally energetic and enthusiastic.
- You're commercially minded and always looking for the next opportunity.
- You understand that sales doesn't stop when someone hangs up the phone.
- You can look at an online sales funnel and ask, "Why aren't we converting more?"
- You can look at an event and immediately see opportunities to sell more.
- You aren't afraid to say, "We could do this better."
- You lead from the front.
- You're available to work two Saturdays per month, with the option of additional pay or time off in lieu.

THE BOTTOM LINE
We're not looking for someone to manage a sales team.

"Where are we losing customers?"
"What can we change?"
