Duties
- Remove and install tyres using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment with precision and care
- Conduct thorough inspections of tyres for signs of wear, damage, or irregularities to determine necessary repairs or replacements
- Perform wheel balancing and alignment procedures to enhance vehicle handling and safety
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and vehicle details for each service
- Assist customers by explaining tyre conditions, recommended services, and answering questions with professionalism
- Conduct routine maintenance on tyre equipment to ensure safety and efficiency in daily operations
- Lift heavy tyres safely using proper techniques to prevent injury and ensure efficient workflow
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in tyre repair, replacement, and related vehicle systems
- Experience using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers effectively
- Proficiency with power tools required for tyre fitting and maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform maintenance on equipment and tools to keep them in optimal working condition
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
- Attention to detail to identify tyre issues accurately and ensure quality workmanship
