About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance and development of a team of Care and Support Workers. You’ll champion a culture of care and resilience, supporting your team’s wellbeing, addressing challenges with empathy and determination, and creating an environment where every team member can thrive and deliver outstanding care.
Reporting directly to a Registered Manager, you will ensure that the care and support delivered in people’s homes is safe, effective, responsive, caring, and well-led. Your leadership will be key to maintaining the high standards North Yorkshire Council is known for.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in supervising or leading care teams
- A strong understanding of adult social care standards
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to person-centred care and continuous improvement
Qualification Requirements
We are looking for candidates who hold an NVQ Level 3 or a QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
However, if you currently hold a Level 2 qualification, don’t let that hold you back, we will fully support you to achieve your Level 3 within 12 months of starting the role. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career while making a real difference in people’s lives.

You will be required to work evenings and weekends as part of a 7-day service. NYC pay a weekend working allowance of £30 per day.
