We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of excellence.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their skills and promote a cohesive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor customer feedback to continually improve the dining experience.
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning related to kitchen operations.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment.
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and culinary arts.
- Demonstrable experience managing a team in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in menu development and food presentation techniques.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service excellence.
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate staff under pressure. Pay: £38,500.00-£42,500.00 per year
