Responsibilities
- Providing professional hair cutting, colouring, styling, and finishing services tailored to client preferences
- Offering expert advice on hair care, colour choices, and styling options
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Building strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty
- Upselling additional services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, or specialised treatments to enhance client experience
- Managing front desk duties including appointment scheduling, client consultations, and payment processing
- Mentoring junior team members and sharing expertise to foster a collaborative environment
- Assisting with store management tasks when required to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills
- Proven experience in hairdressing with a strong portfolio of styles and techniques
- Competence in barbering, colour correction, and specialised treatments such as eyelash extensions and makeup application
- Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and provide personalised recommendations
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to upsell products and services effectively to maximise client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple appointments efficiently
- Experience in store management or supervisory roles is advantageous but not essential
- Mentoring abilities to support less experienced team members in their development
