Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Scaffolder to join our dynamic construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient assembly, disassembly, and inspection of complex scaffolding structures on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety regulations, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work at heights in challenging environments. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the successful completion of large-scale building and infrastructure developments.
Duties
- Erect, alter, and dismantle advanced scaffolding structures in accordance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Conduct thorough inspections of scaffolding components to ensure stability and safety throughout the project duration.
- Collaborate with site managers, engineers, and other trades to plan scaffold layouts suitable for specific tasks such as roofing, masonry, or electrical works.
- Utilise a variety of hand tools and power tools to assemble scaffolding components efficiently.
- Perform fabrication tasks as required, including cutting and modifying materials for specialised scaffold configurations.
- Assist with other construction activities such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, or electrical work when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Train and mentor junior scaffolders to ensure best practices are followed on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in advanced scaffolding roles within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes including carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, and fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in scaffolding assembly and fabrication.
- Relevant certifications such as CISRS Advanced Scaffolder card or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations related to working at heights and on construction sites.
- Ability to read technical drawings and scaffold plans accurately.
- Physical fitness with the capability to work at heights for extended periods and lift heavy materials safely.
- Good organisational skills with an organised approach to completing tasks efficiently.
