Overview
We are partnered with an exceptional client who is looking for skilled HGV Technician's to join their dynamic workshop team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair heavy goods vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
- Perform welding and fabrication work as required to address vehicle issues.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components for maintenance or repair.
- Conduct diagnostics and repairs on HGV systems.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle status and repairs needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong skills in maintaining heavy goods vehicles, including knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment relevant to HGV maintenance.
- Experience in welding and fabrication is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety standards.

- HGV Class 1/2 driving license preferable but not essential
