Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our Metal Prep Department, playing a key role in producing high-quality components for the next stage of production. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working with machines, and thrives in a busy, hands-on environment.
Salary: £15.75ph
40 hours per week
What you will be doing:
- Operating CNC machines, including flatbed laser and tube laser, to produce components to specification.
- Checking parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring all items are correctly labelled and ready for the next stage of production.
- Following job bookings and machine assignments to keep production on schedule.
- Identifying and reporting any issues with machines or jobs, helping to minimise downtime.
- Working closely with Engineering and other departments to resolve queries as needed.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working area.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in CNC machining or laser cutting.
- Comfortable reading and working from engineering drawings.
- Methodical, with strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
- Enthusiastic and proactive, with a hands-on approach and strong work ethic.
- A fast learner who enjoys taking initiative and solving problems on the job.
