The Role
- Working closely with and assisting our Quantity Surveyor
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly valuations, interim and final accounts, payment applications and cost reconciliations.
- Helping to produce accurate cost forecasts, valuations and cash flow reports.
- Assisting with the management of contract variations.
- Reviewing contract documentation, drawings and bills of quantities to identify commercial risks and ensure compliance.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Liaising with internal departments to support timely payments and financial administration
- Prepare cost analysis based on the construction drawings, engineering estimates, materials required and labour involved
- Negotiate costs with sub-contractors· Monitor progress/track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
The Person
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveyor role.
- Working towards, or holding, a Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
- Good understanding of commercial contracts and construction principles.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- You will have knowledge of construction working methods, contracts, and subcontract arrangement
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
