Our Personal Assistants support our senior leaders, providing a proactive, efficient and confidential service to them. They manage, organise and plan to ensure that the senior leaders have the right things at the right time.
This job is busy, you will be doing a wide range of daily tasks including, reviewing and managing emails, booking in appointments, taking notes at meetings as well as writing up documents and correspondence. This role is fast paced and daily priorities can be changeable, so you need to be a quick thinker and find the best solution to completing deadlines or requests in a timely manner.
This vacancy will support the senior leaders in the public protection unit.
The Public Protection Unit plays a vital role in keeping people safe across Avon and Somerset, leading the force's response to safeguarding, offender management and the investigation of serious offences against children. This can at times be challenging and emotionally demanding, but supporting our leadership team means contributing to work that makes a genuine difference to victims and communities.
What do you need?
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Previous administration/ secretarial experience
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages
Experience and/or ability of arranging, preparing and supporting meetings
To be able to demonstrate our Organisations values.
Ability to travel around the force area if required.- Using own car, pool car or public transport.

Additional Information:

This is a part time role working 18 hours per week, exact hours / days can be discussed with the successful applicant.
The role is blended therefore you will be able to work from home for a proportion of your working week. Your secondary location will be based at Police Headquarters, Portishead.
To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 5 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 5 years.
