Salary Range: Up to £47,500 (including basic + paid travel time, DOE)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Ceaton Security Services, a well-established Cardiff-based business with over 30 years experience in the Automation, Fire & Security industry and now proudly part of the Senseco Group. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Automatic Door Installation & Service Engineer to support our expanding operations.
You'll work across a wide range of automation systems - from automatic doors to speed lanes, gates, bollards, barriers, and roller shutters - delivering high-quality installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair work. What you will be doing

Installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing automatic doors and associated automation systems

Working across a variety of technologies including speed lanes, gates, bollards, barriers, and roller shutters

Participating in the oncall rota as part of the engineering team

Delivering high-quality service on customer sites, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and fully operational

Supporting the wider engineering team with technical queries and site requirements
A typical week might include:

Installing a new automatic door system for a commercial client

Servicing and repairing automation equipment across South Wales
-
Commissioning speed lanes or access-controlled entrances

Responding to callouts and resolving system faults

Carrying out planned maintenance and compliance checks
Who we are looking for
Were looking for a skilled engineer with strong technical knowledge, a proactive approach, and pride in delivering excellent work.
Essential:
-
Minimum 3 years experience working with automatic doors
-
Basic understanding of electrical works
-
Full UK driving licence
-
No criminal record
-
Ability to complete and pass full security vetting
Desirable:
-
Experience with other automation systems (gates, barriers, shutters, bollards)

ADSA BS/EN16005 certification
-
IPAF licence
-
Strong customer-service approach and clear communication skills
