Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
- Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure hygiene and safety compliance.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, such as assembling snacks or light meals.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
- Restock supplies as required to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse customers confidently.
