Angloco is a British manufacturer of specialist fire-fighting and rescue vehicles and equipment, supplying customers in more than 70 countries worldwide.
We are looking for a Mechanical Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team in Batley, helping to assemble components and equipment for our specialist fire and rescue vehicles.
This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment and would suit someone with previous experience in assembly, manufacturing or a similar practical role.
Duties will include:
- Assembling and fitting mechanical components and equipment
- Working on different stages of the vehicle build
- Checking completed work and carrying out basic quality checks
- Following drawings, instructions and specifications
- Using hand and power tools as required
- Making sure work is completed safely and to the required standard
- Carrying out other general manufacturing duties when required
About you:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is essential. Full training will be provided for the specific work and equipment used at Angloco.

- Can meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing for periods of time
The role is expected to be primarily day shift; however, shift working may be required and will form part of the contract.
Pay and Benefits:
- £13.45 per hour, with pay depending on experience

You'll be part of a skilled team building specialist fire and rescue vehicles and equipment for customers around the world. It's a varied role where you'll be able to see the vehicles come together from the build stage through to the finished product.
