Optimal FM Construction Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Compliance & Technical Manager to lead the technical and compliance aspects of our growing electrical division. This is a leadership role focused on electrical governance, technical assurance and quality, supporting our Project Managers and approved electrical contractors in delivering safe and compliant electrical works across live retail, commercial and FM environments throughout the UK
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the company's NICEIC Qualified Supervisor.
2. Lead compliance with BS 7671, the Electricity at Work Regulations and client requirements.
3. Maintain Guardian, NICEIC and the company's Electrical Compliance Management System.
4. Provide technical leadership and support to Project Managers and the electrical supply chain.
5. Review higher-risk RAMS, electrical certification, EICRs and minor electrical designs.
6. Attend site to provide technical oversight on higher-risk or complex projects, particularly within live retail environments, carrying out quality audits and supporting commissioning where required.
7. Lead the development of our EICR and inspection & testing capability.
8. Manage electrical competence, technical standards and continuous improvement.Act as the technical interface with clients, auditors and certification bodies.
9. Support electrical isolations, Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and safe systems of work.
Essential
Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Installation (or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).
Eligible to act as NICEIC Qualified Supervisor.
Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 and the Electricity at Work Regulations.
Experience managing electrical compliance within live retail, commercial or FM environments.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
Previous NICEIC Qualified Supervisor experience.
LV Authorised Person (LVAP) experience or the ability to fulfil the role.
Experience with Guardian or similar client compliance systems.
Retail, FM or multi-site maintenance experience.
IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH.
