Briarfields Hotel is seeking an experienced and motivated hospitality professional to join our team as a Bar Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong hospitality background who is ready to take on greater responsibility, lead a team, and play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
About the Role
As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the bar, taking full ownership of ordering, stock control, and maintaining exceptional standards throughout.
In addition to managing the bar, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the hotel during your shifts. Leading by example, you'll inspire and support the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences, ensuring the highest standards of service are consistently achieved across all guest-facing areas of our award-winning 4-star hotel and 2 AA Rosette restaurant.
This is a varied and hands-on role, encompassing reception, restaurant service, bar operations, guest relations, and operational support. You will be responsible for supervising team members, maintaining service standards, resolving guest enquiries, and ensuring every guest receives a warm and memorable experience.
There will also be opportunities to become involved in events and functions, making this an ideal position for someone looking to broaden their hospitality management experience.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or customer service environment
- Previous bar management experience is desirable
- Experience supervising or leading teams is desirable
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
Working Hours
This is a full-time, permanent position. Shifts will vary and may include early starts from 7:00am and late finishes up to 11:00pm, typically working 8–10 hour shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
