Two cleaning roles at Fit This, Hackney E8
We're an independent gym on Reading Lane, a couple of minutes from Hackney Central. We've been here twenty years. We're hiring two people to keep the club clean, and we'd rather pay two people properly than stretch one person too thin.
Housekeeping Lead, 21 hours
Monday to Wednesday, 5am to 11am, plus Sunday 7pm to 10pm.
£15.50 an hour, £16,926 a year.
Housekeeping Assistant, 20 hours
Thursday and Friday, 5am to 11am, plus Saturday and Sunday, 6am to 10am.
£14.80 an hour, £15,392 a year.
Both roles are employed and on our payroll. Not cash in hand, not self-employed. Holiday pay, sick pay and a contract from day one.
The work: changing rooms, showers and toilets, gym floor, studio, sauna, reception, corridors and stairs. Floors, mirrors, equipment, bins, and a detailed clean of one area each day. You'll mostly be working in an empty or quiet club, before or after the members are in.
What we're after: someone who turns up when they say they will, works on their own without being chased, and takes pride in what the place looks like when they leave it. Cleaning experience helps, but reliability matters more. There's a written standard for every area, so you'll always know what good looks like, and you won't be guessing.
You'll be trained on every product before you use it, and all the equipment and protective kit is provided.
You'll need the right to work in the UK, and we'll ask to see your documents before you start.
