Chef
We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced professional kitchen.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a professional kitchen is required, preferably within an Italian restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality Italian dishes.
- Manage daily food preparation and mise en place.
- Maintain consistent standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
- Organise and manage your kitchen section efficiently.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and the rest of the kitchen team.
- Monitor food stock, rotation, and waste.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
- Support and supervise junior kitchen staff when required.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ professional kitchen experience.
- Proven experience in Italian cuisine.
- Good knowledge of traditional Italian dishes and cooking techniques.
- Ability to manage a kitchen section independently.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
