Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cook to join our friendly team at The Black Truffle Coffee Shop & Boutique in Seaham.
Located right on the beautiful Durham coastline, The Black Truffle has been serving customers for well over 15 years and has built an excellent reputation for quality food, great coffee, and outstanding customer service. We are proud of our welcoming atmosphere, loyal customers, and supportive team environment.
The Role
This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for producing high-quality homemade food and baked goods, including:
Freshly baked scones, cakes, pies, and other homemade treats
Food preparation and meal prep for daily service
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
Assisting with stock control and kitchen organisation
Supporting the team during busy service periods
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience in a café, coffee shop, bakery, kitchen, or similar food environment
Be passionate about producing quality homemade food
Remain calm and organised during busy periods
Have excellent teamwork and communication skills
Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Be able to work independently and use their initiative
Hold a driving licence or have reliable transport to commute to and from work (preferred)
Be available for some weekend working
