Job Summary:
To maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment within the Care Home by carrying out daily cleaning and domestic duties in accordance with Care Home policies, health and safety requirements and infection control standards.
This role will involve working 30 hours per week (5 days) with shift times being 8.30am – 3.00pm.
The role will involve weekend working on a shared rota basis.
No previous experience is required as full training will be provided.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Ability to work on your own initiative:
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Good communication skills.
Key Tasks:
- Ensure that all areas of the Care Home are consistently cleaned to a high standard using appropriate cleaning materials and equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness of carpets, furniture and soft furnishings.
- Maintain cleanliness of wheelchairs, commodes and specialist seating reporting any damage observed to the Nurse Manager.
- Respect residents’ privacy, dignity and personal space at all times when cleaning bedrooms.
- Treat residents' belongings with care, respect and discretion.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to the Nurse Manager.
- Maintain accurate cleaning records and complete checklists as required.
