Warehouse Manager
Summary
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations throughout the warehouse (Glenburn Rd) with a focus on driving operating processes, staff productivity and use of technology.
Key Priorities
- Set clear goals and direction for the warehouse on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis ensuring SLA performance and targets exceeded with all processes and procedures adhered to.
- Responsibility for staff attendance, payroll, time off and disciplinary procedures including through the Citation system, working closely with the bookkeeper around staff payroll.
- Ensuring compliance to procedures from a health & safety point of view.
- Awareness of risk assessments and required actions including Fire. Effective use of Citation as point of reference for Health and safety compliance.
- Act a member of the management team working closely on a day-to-day basis with the Founder, Managing Director, IT Manager and Commercial Manager.
- Focus on customer retention by ensuring excellent service standards are consistently met leading to a positive view from all customers which in turn generates new business referrals.
- Working alongside Commercial Manager to act as operational point of contact for key customers both new and existing including involvement with new client onboarding.
- Supporting a ‘one Dimensions’ culture across all areas of the business including Albion Way warehouse.
- Coordinate delivery collections, particularly for international customers via appropriate courier network.
- Ensure clients stock is accurately maintained and optimised to maximise sales.
- Drive excellent housekeeping standards across the warehouse.
- Maximise Profitability; by actively seeking efficiency savings in all operational areas, including the use of technology.
- Developing a culture of continuous improvement to ensure processes are continually reviewed to identify areas for improvement, with a particular focus on peak planning and extending courier cut-off capacity.

Additional Points that would be ideal
- Any formal training to support this role including IOSH Health and Safety training and other relevant certified training.
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods logistics regulations especially concerning lithium batteries.
- Forklift licence
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
