The principal objectives of this dynamic role are to:
Deliver consistently high standards of guest service.
Ensure the smooth running of hotel, restaurant and bar operations.
Lead and support employees during service.
Maintain appropriate operational and financial controls
Support the General Manager in achieving agreed financial and business objectives.
Ensure that company policies, procedures and standards are followed.
Responsibilities
Assist the General Manager in managing daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across all departments
Supervise and motivate front of house staff, housekeeping, food service teams, and other hotel personnel to maintain high standards of guest care
Support human resources functions including staff scheduling, inductions, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
Foster a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with guests directly, addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring memorable experiences
Coordinate with various departments to ensure compliance with safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and operational procedures
Contribute to maintaining a positive work environment through effective leadership and clear communicationManage front desk tasks such as welcoming check ins and checkouts
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or hotel industry is preferable
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Excellent guest service skills with a passion for creating memorable experiences
Knowledge of human resources practices including staffing, training, and conflict management
Previous hotel experience is highly preferred to understand industry standards and operations
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
