Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling goods, preparing orders, maintaining stock accuracy, and ensuring the warehouse operates safely and efficiently.
You will be working under the direction of experienced colleagues and a Warehouse Manager.
The role involves working in a fast-paced setting where attention to detail and physical stamina are essential.
Duties
- Receiving, unloading, and storing incoming deliveries
- Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders accurately
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Carrying out stock checks and inventory control
- Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or scanners
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Reporting damaged stock or equipment issues to supervisors
- Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations preferred but not essential, including materials handling, picking & packing, and stock management
- Valid forklift licence is highly desirable; training can be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail in quality control procedures
- Punctual and reliable
- Good numeracy and literacy skills, with ability to use a computer competently
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Physical fitness to handle long periods of standing, walking, and manual handling tasks
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Friday 8am-4pm.
Paid mid-morning break and unpaid 30 minute lunch break.
