Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out site preparation activities such as clearing debris.
- Load and unload materials from lorries and transport them to designated areas on-site.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Operate basic construction tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Carry out a variety of more technical tasks.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to team efforts in meeting project deadlines.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the site supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is essential.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Good knowledge of construction tools and safety practices is essential.
- A valid CSCS card is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate.
