The role:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Skye House team within an inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This is a vital role within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to children and young people experiencing acute mental health difficulties.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Fixed-term, Various hours available
1x Full-time post 36 hours, 1x Part-time post 14.4 hours
Shift pattern - Full-time post: Monday- Friday 09:00 am- 5:00 pm; Part-time post: Tuesday and Thursday 09.00 am 5:00 pm
Base location - Stobhill Hospital - Skye House AIPU
Key responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to children and young people experiencing acute mental health difficulties.

Support and coordinate the nursing team to deliver care that meets standards set by professional organisations, patients and families.

Monitor the delivery of care and ensure effective care coordination.

Coordinate workforce resources to support safe and efficient service delivery.

Demonstrate robust trauma-informed clinical decision-making.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
-
Support the integration of care between families, external agencies and community teams.

Contribute to assessment and treatment interventions for young people aged 12-17 years with a range of mental health difficulties and neurodiverse needs.

Act as a Care Manager, supporting the clinical team to triangulate care across all relevant stakeholders.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification.

Strong leadership skills and clinical expertise.

Knowledge and application of trauma-informed practice.

Experience in monitoring and evaluating care delivery.

Understanding of workforce coordination and resource management.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Knowledge of mental health assessment and treatment for children and adolescents.

Understanding of the needs of young people with mental health difficulties and neurodiverse presentations.
