Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Early Years Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in childcare practices. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children, ensuring their well-being and development. The Early Years Practitioner will be responsible for supervising children, planning activities, and fostering positive relationships with both the children and their families.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare area.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide support in managing children's behaviour through positive reinforcement techniques.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early childhood education or QCF Level 5 in Childcare , Leadership & Management.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide children effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A valid driving licence is an advantage for transporting children as needed.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in various situations.
