We're partnering with a growing biotechnology company that develops high-performance PCR and molecular biology reagents used by researchers across academia, biotechnology, diagnostics and pharmaceutical organisations worldwide.
As their business continues to grow internationally, they're looking for a Commercial Team Administrator to become the operational hub of their commercial team. This is far more than a traditional administration role - you'll work across customer support, CRM management, reporting, logistics, sales and marketing, playing a key role in keeping the commercial function running smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same. You'll work closely with the Sales, Marketing and Product teams, becoming the first point of contact for many customer enquiries while ensuring the commercial team has the systems and information they need to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing customer enquiries from academics, distributors and industrial customers
- Maintaining and developing the company's CRM system (Workbooks)
- Producing reports, dashboards and commercial data
- Managing website enquiries and coordinating follow-up activities
- Supporting sales and marketing campaigns
- Coordinating merchandise, samples and event logistics
- Managing customer pricing and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting onboarding of new team members
- Working across commercial systems including CRM and finance platforms
- Helping identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
Who We're Looking For
This role would suit someone who enjoys being organised, working with systems and supporting people.
You'll ideally have:
- PCR or molecular biology experience
- Experience using CRM systems such as Workbooks, Salesforce, HubSpot or Microsoft Dynamics
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Confidence working with Excel and Microsoft Office
- Great communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
It Would Be Great If You Also Have...
- PCR or molecular biology knowledge
- Laboratory experience
- Experience supporting a commercial, sales or marketing team
- HTML or basic website editing experience
- SQL, database or reporting experience
- Experience with finance systems such as QuickBooks
- Experience creating reports or dashboards
- An interest in improving systems and processes
