La Bibliotheque is looking for a talented Sous Chef, where your passion for food and leadership will elevate our kitchen operations to new heights! In this dynamic role, you’ll be a vital part of crafting exceptional dining experiences by supervising food production, managing team members, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation in line with restaurant standards.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, cooking, and serving processes, maintaining a lively and organized workspace.
- Assist in menu development, recipe creation, and ensuring consistency across all dishes served.
- Monitor food safety practices rigorously, ensuring compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards.
- Manage team schedules, provide training, and foster a positive team environment focused on hospitality excellence.
- Support the head chef in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs.
- Ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver seamless service experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and kitchen experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Experience in Japanese Izakaya and/or Mediterranean style food and cooking techniques
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, and serving within a restaurant setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Passion for hospitality with a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
