Regional Sales Manger | North East Territory
About the Role
Salary: Up to £36,000 / £6,000 Car allowance / Bonus Scheme
We're working with an ICONIC craft beer brand looking to strengthen its presence across the Scottish market.
The role will focus on building strong customer relationships, winning new distribution, and growing volume across independent free trade, leased and tenanted accounts, and regional multiple operators.
This is a field-based role, with around 90% of your time spent visiting accounts, developing relationships, and delivering the brand’s On-Trade strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow distribution across the On-Trade by identifying and winning new accounts.
- Build consultative relationships with key venues to drive volume and brand presence.
- Continuously assess your territory to identify new opportunities and define the local On-Trade universe.
- Identify, win, and manage key regional multiple operators and distributor partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, venue operators, and industry influencers.
- Manage a local On-Trade budget effectively.
- Negotiate partnership agreements with key operators to support sales growth.
- Deliver staff training, tastings, and product education to improve brand understanding, quality of serve, and pricing.
- Review volume performance and business-building initiatives with key venues on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Analyse territory and account-level performance to understand key business drivers.
- Use commercial tools, activations, and sales tactics to drive growth.
- Ensure brand activation materials are placed in the right accounts to maximise visibility and impact.
- Support venues in delivering a high-quality finished drink experience for consumers.
About You
The ideal candidate will be passionate and have a strong understanding of the local On-Trade scene in North East.
You will be a natural relationship builder, commercially driven, and comfortable working independently in a field-based sales environment.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in On-Trade sales, drinks, FMCG, hospitality sales, or a closely related sector.
- Strong knowledge of the North East On-Trade market.
- Proven ability to win new business and grow existing accounts.
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised, with strong administrative and territory planning skills.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own diary, workload, and priorities.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable working at pace.
- Passion for craft beer, hospitality, and building long-term customer relationships.
