Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Care Assistant to join our Adult Day Care team. A key part of this role, will be to organise daily activities, support clients with their individual care needs, and ensure a safe, engaging, and compassionate environment. Responsibilities
- Work within a care team to ensure the needs of clients are being met during their time at the Day Centre..
- Promote provision of stimulating and therapeutic activities in order to assist in the independence of clients within the community.
- Assist the Day Centre Manager with client reviews and or any safeguarding concerns.
- Provide help and support to the clients in efforts to resolve any problems that arise within their lives.
- Support clients during mealtimes, ensuring nutritional needs are met while promoting independence when possible
- Operate assistive devices & lifts safely and effectively during transfers or mobility assistance
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, home health care, or long-term care environments with a focus on senior or adult care
- Experience working with individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease or other developmental or physical disabilities
- Ability to create & organise meaningful activities for the clients.
- Competence in emergency response procedures or willingness to obtain.
- Physical ability to safely using equipment like Stand-Aid's when necessary
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and family interactions
- Compassionate attitude combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.92 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 30.0 per week
