Poulet is a vibrant independent rotisserie chicken restaurant located on Maltby Street in the heart of Bermondsey.
Alongside our restaurant, we operate a busy outdoor Beer Bar on the famous Bermondsey Beer Mile, serving a carefully selected range of beers, wines, cocktails and seasonal drinks.
With a lively atmosphere, regular events and a strong focus on great hospitality, we are looking for an experienced Shift & Bar Supervisor to help lead our front-of-house team and create memorable experiences for our guests.
The Role
As Shift & Bar Supervisor, you will support the management team with the day-to-day running of both the restaurant and Beer Bar.
You will lead from the front, help motivate and develop the team, maintain high service standards and ensure that each shift runs smoothly. This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy, energetic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts across the restaurant and outdoor Beer Bar
- Deliver warm, attentive and efficient guest service
- Handle guest questions and concerns professionally
- Support, train and motivate front-of-house team members
- Maintain clear communication between the front-of-house and kitchen teams
- Prepare and serve beers, wines, cocktails and soft drinks to company standards
- Monitor bar stock and assist with ordering and stock control
- Support opening and closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with licensing, food safety and health and safety requirements
- Assist with private events, group bookings and seasonal activations
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout the venue
What We’re Looking For
- At least one year of supervisory experience in hospitality
- Previous bar experience is essential
- Good knowledge of beer, cocktails and beverage service
- Confident leadership and communication skills
- A positive, reliable and hands-on approach
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating great guest experiences
