What are we looking for?
We are looking for volunteers to support either our Torrington shop or our Northgate shop in Barnstaple.
We’re looking for Retail Volunteers who can bring smiles and a sprinkle of fun to our charity shops, along with a helpful attitude, a willingness to learn and a desire to get stuck in!
Retail experience? Great! No experience? No problem—we’ll train you.

What might you be doing?
- Chatting with customers,
- Sorting donations
- Steaming clothes
- Pricing treasures
- Working the till.
- Basically, keep the shop buzzing and looking great!
What do we need from you?
· A friendly attitude and willingness to help customers.
- Reliability – committing to the agreed shift and communicating any holidays to allow for cover (or take us with you!)
- Openness to learning new skills (we’ll provide full training).
- Ability to work with others and follow shop guidelines.
- A positive approach to keeping the shop tidy and welcoming.
- Commitment to supporting the hospice’s values and mission.
