Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a supportive environment for individuals in need of assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support individuals in following their personalised care plans, ensuring that their specific needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
- Foster a warm and friendly atmosphere by engaging residents in conversation and activities.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care home environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- A good command of English is required for effective communication with residents and team members.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and reporting is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and their families are essential.
