Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Project Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting parents of young children ensuring their needs are met with care and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in parent support, infant feeding and child development along with strong communication skills. Duties
- Work directly with parents and their babies/children to offer support and guidance around best practice in parenting and infant feeding.
- Support families during groups, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour, and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for families.
- Contribute to the organisation of activities.
- Use IT systems effectively for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes.
Qualifications
- Experience working with families and/or children in support settings is desirable.
- Valid driving licence with access to your own vehicle is preferred as our groups take place around Torridge in rural areas, the ability to get to and from groups is essential.
- Good communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of infant feeding, statutory guidance around infant feeding, infant sleep and safeguarding.
- IT literacy skills including proficiency in basic computer applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating patience, empathy, and organisational skills. This role provides an enriching environment where you can develop your career within social care while making a meaningful difference in the lives of families.
