Habs Girls: 9.30am – 3.00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Habs Boys: 11.00am – 5.30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Habs Elstree Schools are seeking two enthusiastic Health Care Assistants to join our dedicated nursing teams. We have one vacancy at Habs Girls and one at Habs Boys, both working during term time only.

Our Health and Medical Centres are at the heart of our outstanding pastoral provision, providing a safe, welcoming environment where students receive expert care, reassurance and support throughout the school day. Working alongside our experienced nurses and wider pastoral teams, you'll play a vital role in helping students remain healthy, safe and ready to learn.
What you'll be doing
No two days are the same. You will:
- Support our nurses in caring for students with minor illnesses and injuries.
- Provide emergency first aid to students, staff and visitors when required.
- Help support students with ongoing medical conditions, including asthma, epilepsy, diabetes and allergies.
- Maintain accurate medical records and communicate with parents and colleagues.
- Prepare first aid provision for educational visits and school activities.
- Help ensure our Health and Medical Centres remain welcoming, well-equipped and efficiently run.
- Work closely with pastoral colleagues to support the wellbeing of our students and escalate concerns where appropriate.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is:
- Caring, approachable and able to build positive relationships with young people.
- Calm under pressure and confident prioritising a varied workload.
- Organised, professional and able to maintain confidentiality.
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Competent using Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.
- Willing to undertake training, including Paediatric First Aid, Basic Life Support, anaphylaxis management and safeguarding.
Experience in a healthcare, first aid, school, GP practice, care or similar environment would be welcomed, although we are equally interested in hearing from candidates with transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
