We're now looking for a Transport First Line Manager to take the helm of our daily transport operations!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Accountable for safe, legal and efficient execution of transport operations supporting the SLA's / KPI's
Accountable for driver and fleet compliance in line with legal and DHL standards
Be the point of escalation for day to day operational issues management and resolution for transport
Responsible for delivering a safe, efficient & effective workplace and the driver teams
Day to day management of colleagues within the team including absence (annual leave & sickness) and ensuring esculation of cases when appropriate to the Transport Opertaions Manager
Responsible for EOS within the team, creating, driving and managing associated action plans
Responsible for ensuring system compliance i.e. Logics, DPM and transport systems
Support delivery of Driver cost efficiencies within the transport operation
Support with the management of operational costs and identification of cost performance trends - i.e. fuel performance / accidents etc
Support the Transport Operations Manager in identifying and implementing cost efficiency projects / continuous improvement initiatives
Manage absence, disciplinary and grievance in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures
To schedule, prepare and conduct quarterly 1-2-1's with all direct reports in line with OMS guidelines
Ensure Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards and compliance regulations, creating a safe and secure workplace for everyone.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Preferable Transport experience
Demonstrate excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
Good degree of IT literacy including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Can lead from the front, winning hearts and minds and providing coaching and mentorship
Have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Aren't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in when needed
