Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organised Office Assistant to support our electrical contracting administrative team And electrical wholesale management. This role involves handling various clerical and organisational tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our office and shop floor environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and prior office experience. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your administrative skills within a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Managing incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and directing enquiries appropriately
- Assisting with data entry and maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications and FreeAgent software
- Organising files, documents, and correspondence to ensure easy retrieval and efficient workflow
- Supporting the team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and preparing reports. Booking out materials for engineers
- Utilising FreeAgent for basic bookkeeping and financial record management
- Performing general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, and filing
- Assisting with inventory management of office supplies and equipment. Managing stock levels
- Providing excellent customer service to visitors and clients
Qualifications
- Previous office or administrative experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar)
- Experience with FreeAgent or similar accounting software is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good typing speed with high accuracy for data entry tasks
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally via phone and email
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
