Audit Assistant Manager
Location - Preference is Belfast, however, Newry or Dungannon offices can also be considered.
You will apply your technical knowledge and experience to deliver high-quality audit and assurance assignments from planning through to completion. You will demonstrate strong people management skills, including effective delegation, coaching and support of team members, while building lasting client relationships and contributing to the growth and development of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in supporting the management and development of a portfolio of audit and assurance clients, delivering a high-quality and proactive service.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.
- Assist in the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments, ensuring deadlines and budgets are achieved.
- Supervise, coach and develop junior team members, providing ongoing support and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements and the firm's quality management procedures.
- Identify, assess and communicate audit findings, risks and recommendations, consulting with managers, directors and partners on technical, risk and client service matters as appropriate.
- Contribute to tenders, proposals and business development activities, identifying opportunities to enhance and expand existing client relationships.
- Maintain and develop technical knowledge through continuous professional development and awareness of regulatory developments.
- Work collaboratively across teams while demonstrating initiative, accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Essential Criteria
- Experience managing audit assignments and supporting the development of a client portfolio.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing, accounting and financial reporting standards.
- Experience coaching, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Strong communication, organisational and relationship management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality client service.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working with owner-managed businesses, public sector bodies and/or regulated entities.
- Experience using CaseWare, Inflo or similar audit and practice management software.
- Experience contributing to business development activities, including tenders, proposals or networking initiatives.
Professional qualifications and education
Required:
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with relevant audit and assurance experience.
