Full-Time Farm Shop Assistant
Location: Balgove Larder, St Andrews
Hours: Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) and Part-Time (approximately 20 hours per week). This role will include regular weekend working and very occasional evening work.
Contract: Permanent
Due to continued growth and expansion across the business and as we move into our busiest season, we are looking for a Full-Time and Part-Time Farm Shop Assistants to join the team at Balgove Larder.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a vibrant and fast-paced food retail environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. Our farm shop is at the heart of Balgove, showcasing the very best seasonal produce and artisan food, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for quality, provenance, and hospitality.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service to customers within the farm shop
- Assisting customers with product information and recommendations across our range of seasonal produce
- Ensuring shelves and displays are well stocked, fresh, and presented to the highest standards
- Supporting with deliveries, stock rotation, and maintaining the quality and integrity of our produce
- Operating the till and handling transactions accurately and efficiently
- Helping maintain a welcoming, well-organised shop environment that reflects the Balgove brand
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business to ensure a seamless customer experience
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable, particularly within food or hospitality
- A genuine enthusiasm for high-quality food and produce
- Friendly, professional, and confident communication skills
- A proactive and reliable approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy and customer-focused environment
