Overview
We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our on-site team in Ipswich town centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across plant, equipment, and building services.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with statutory requirements and industry standards
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues and implement appropriate solutions
- Undertake general building maintenance, including basic plumbing and fabric repairs
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping
- Accurately complete all compliance documentation and maintenance reports
- Participate in on-call and emergency response duties for OOH
- Escalate critical issues to the Facilities Manager
- Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and O&M documentation
- Review RAMS and supervise subcontractors on site
- Inspect and verify work carried out by external contractors
- Replace and maintain components such as filters, belts, and valves
- Ensure adequate stock levels of essential maintenance materials
- Carry out a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fabric tasks
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience in Facilities Management or Maintenance Engineering
- Strong knowledge of both reactive and planned maintenance (PPM)
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Electrical or Mechanical, 18th Edition)
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic IT skills (Outlook, Excel)
Desirable:
- Experience working in a commercial environment
- Additional certifications or training
Pay: From £38,000.00 per year
