About the Role
LM Manufacturing Limited is looking for an experienced Supply Planner to join our Supply Chain team within a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in production planning, inventory management and supply chain coordination, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of pharmaceutical products while supporting business growth and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will work closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Commercial teams to develop robust production and supply plans that meet customer demand and maximise operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short and long-term production and supply plans aligned with customer demand and business priorities.
- Create and manage Master Production Schedules for manufacturing, quality inspection and packaging operations.
- Plan and optimise production campaigns to maximise equipment utilisation, minimise changeovers and improve operational efficiency.
- Execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, packaging components and production materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock levels to support production while minimising excess inventory.
- Perform capacity planning and scenario analysis to identify and mitigate risks relating to material availability, production capacity and customer demand.
- Coordinate production schedules with Engineering to ensure planned maintenance activities are incorporated into manufacturing plans.
- Incorporate Quality Assurance release timelines, batch documentation and quality approval activities into production schedules.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities with third-party logistics providers, suppliers and packaging partners.
- Manage customer purchase orders and ensure finished products are delivered on time while maintaining effective communication with customers and Marketing Authorisation Holders.
- Track supply chain performance and monitor key performance indicators including On Time In Full (OTIF), schedule adherence and inventory performance.
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Supply Review meetings by preparing planning data and performance reports.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Commercial teams to ensure alignment of business priorities.
- Ensure all planning and supply chain activities comply with GMP, GDP and company quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within production planning and supply chain processes.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Materials Planning or Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience developing production schedules and coordinating manufacturing activities.
- Good understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) principles.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or similar planning software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Desirable
- Experience within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare or regulated manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of GMP and GDP requirements.
- Experience participating in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Understanding of inventory management, forecasting and supply chain optimisation.
