Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting various construction, landscaping, and maintenance projects by performing physical tasks that keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including planting, trimming, mowing, and general garden care to ensure vibrant and healthy outdoor spaces
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and wheelbarrows to support daily project needs
- Use power tools and small machinery safely for tasks like digging, cutting, or assembling structures
- Support construction activities by handling materials, cleaning work sites, and preparing surfaces for installation or repairs
- Maintain equipment including basic troubleshooting and routine cleaning to ensure optimal performance
- Support the operation of heavy machinery such as excavators when trained and certified under supervision
- Assist with irrigation system installation and maintenance to promote healthy landscaping outcomes
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction, landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is highly desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and small machinery is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively
- Basic understanding of landscape maintenance techniques and horticultural practices
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s license preferred; certification in operating excavators or other heavy machinery is an asset
