Warehouse Assistant – Picking & Packing
Location: Thorp Arch Estate, Wetherby, LS23 7FA
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Salary: £25,500 to 26,000
The Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and organised person to join our small warehouse team at Pachamama.
A large part of the role involves picking, packing and preparing customer orders, making sure orders are dispatched accurately and on time.
You will also help with stock replenishment, incoming deliveries, quality checking and keeping the warehouse organised.
This could suit someone with previous warehouse, retail, stockroom, fulfilment or similar experience. However, we are equally interested in someone with the right attitude who is reliable, organised and willing to learn.
About Pachamama
Pachamama is an independent knitwear wholesaler and online retailer based on Thorp Arch Estate in Wetherby.
We have been designing and selling distinctive woollen clothing and accessories for over 30 years, with most of our products handmade in Nepal from natural wool.
We are a small, friendly business where people work closely together and everyone plays an important part in getting our products from the warehouse to our customers.

What You'll Be Doing
- Picking customer orders accurately
- Packing and preparing orders for dispatch
- Checking products for quality before they are sent to customers
- Replenishing picking locations and keeping stock organised
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming deliveries
- Helping with stock counts and general stock control
- Preparing products and stock for our wholesale and online businesses
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Helping other members of the team when required
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly and comfortable working as part of a small team
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Happy carrying out practical, hands-on work
- Able to work independently once trained
- Willing to learn and help wherever needed
- Someone who takes pride in doing a job properly
Previous warehouse experience is useful but isn't essential if you have the right attitude and are willing to learn.
Physical Side of the Role
This is an active role and you will be on your feet for much of the working day.
The job includes unpacking deliveries, moving stock and occasionally handling boxes weighing up to approximately 20kg. Appropriate equipment and assistance are available where required.
