We are seeking enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive team working with children and young people with a range of additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in pupils’ lives, whether working in a classroom setting providing general support or supporting individual pupils on a 1:1 basis.

Although the role of a Teaching Assistant can be both challenging and demanding at times due to the specific needs of different children, the position is highly rewarding and can bring great joy and fulfilment when seeing learners succeed and achieve their full potential.
Some key qualities for this position will include resilience and the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal. While previous experience working with children and young people would be ideal, it is not a requirement. Previous experience working with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities would be an advantage.
About the role:
- SEN Teaching Assistant
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (08:30 - 15:30), Term-time only.
- Providing one-to-one, small group, and general classroom support to learners with varying needs and abilities.
- Tailored learning to meet individual students needs and working in partnership with families and other agencies to support learning and development in all areas.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and other educational professionals or specialists to deliver and ensure a supportive and positive learning environment.
- You will help create a safe, engaging and inclusive environment, supporting teaching and learning across a range of subjects.
- Full induction and ongoing training and professional development will be provided to help you grow within your role.
- Encouraging student participation, and independence, building confidence and raising self-esteem, and promoting social skills.
- The role involves assisting with pupils’ academic, emotional and social development, encouraging independence and self-confidence.
- Career progression opportunities are available for staff looking to enhance and develop their skills further in an educational setting.
