Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within a busy clinical environment. Duties
- Providing comprehensive patient care, including health assessments, wound management, and health education
- Administering medications and injections accurately and safely in accordance with prescribed protocols
- Assisting with minor procedures and clinical examinations
- Monitoring patient vital signs and recording medical histories
- Supporting GPs with administrative tasks such as updating patient records and managing appointments
- Offering health advice and promoting preventative care strategies to patients
- Ensuring infection control procedures are strictly followed within the practice
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations and standards
Experience in - chronic disease management, immunisations, vaccinations, minor wounds, complex wounds, leg ulcers, smears, ECG’s, blood samples etc.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Practice Nurse or in a similar primary care setting
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Demonstrated competence in medication administration and patient care procedures
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills, capable of building rapport with patients of all ages
- Relevant nursing qualifications recognised within the UK, such as NMC registration
