Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Appointed Person (Electrical with Confined Space). This role is essential for overseeing electrical safety procedures and ensuring compliance within confined space environments. The appointed person will be responsible for coordinating electrical activities, managing safety protocols, and supporting safe working practices in challenging environments. Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate electrical work activities within confined spaces, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safe work procedures specific to electrical tasks in confined environments.
- Manage the use of hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper handling, maintenance, and safety compliance.
- Monitor the implementation of electrical safety measures, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment.
- Supervise personnel working in confined spaces, providing guidance on safe practices and emergency response protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical installations, tools, and equipment to identify hazards or defects.
- Maintain detailed records of safety checks, risk assessments, and work permits related to electrical operations in confined spaces.
- Collaborate with project teams to plan electrical tasks, ensuring minimal risk and maximum efficiency.
- Support training initiatives on confined space entry procedures and electrical safety awareness.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Appointed Person or similar role with a focus on electrical work within confined spaces.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, power tools, and associated safety standards.
- Demonstrable experience working safely in confined space environments with appropriate risk management skills.
- Relevant certifications such as Electrical Safety Training or Confined Space Entry Certification.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, safety documentation, and operational procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with teams and ensure compliance.

Pay: £23.00-£33.00 per hour
