About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Fabrication Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our busy workshop. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with a strong fabrication and MIG welding background who can manage workflow, maintain quality standards, and lead by example.
You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards while supporting and motivating the workshop team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing daily workshop operations
- Supervising and supporting fabrication staff
- Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings
- Planning and allocating workshop workloads
- Monitoring production output and project deadlines
- Ensuring welding and fabrication quality standards are maintained
- Maintaining high health & safety standards throughout the workshop
- Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior staff and apprentices
- Liaising with management, site teams, and clients where necessary
- Assisting with workshop organisation, stock control, and workflow improvements
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with UKCA procedures and company standards
The Ideal Candidate:Experience:
- Proven background in fabrication and MIG welding
- Previous experience in a senior workshop role such as Workshop Manager, Foreman, Supervisor, or Team Leader
- Experience working with structural steelwork and bespoke fabrication projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Experience working within a fast-paced fabrication environment

Job Details:

- Overtime available, but not guaranteed
